Mobility Support
The following is supported on iOS and Android based platforms.

  • PMG provides a default theme called “Fluid” which is based in industry leading responsive design technology. This allows an enterprise to support any number of edge devices from desktops, laptops, tablet computing, and mobile smartphone browsers with a single managed application. PMG software provides for all end user functionality on all device technologies with modern browsers (webkit based or similar)
  • PMG provides native applications for iOS and Android. The applications leverage a best of breed technology solution which provides for both native application performance combined with integrated web viewing technology to support request submission and web work list support.
  • PMG provides a task proxy application which supports mobile devices ‘outside’ the network. The proxy application is a simple ‘bridge’ application which can be placed outside the firewall in DMZ or other online hosted service (Cloud). This application then can communicate internally with the PMG application via limited web services access or offline via responses wrapped by email for pickup by the workflow engine.

PMG offers its own CMDB functionality, as well as workflow actions, to read and/or write to a variety of other CMDB products. PMG currently offers integration connectors to BMC Atrium, HP uCMDB, MS SCCM, Altiris, and other Asset and CMDB systems.

Our implementation of CMDB transcends the traditional IT-driven context. It includes much more business-oriented constructs and relationships, such as:

  • Financial Hierarchy: Business units to cost centers, legal structure reporting
  • Customer-to-service relationships
  • People to assets, services to people, groups and customers

With an automated workflow-driven approach, data remains up-to-date when assets are distributed or when changes occur. Configuration items and service-to-asset relationships are easily configured and viewed.
